Falkner Leather

Starting with some private leather working projects in 2008, it was clear very quickly that this was something that I wanted to take to perfection. Since the beginning Falkner Leather has come a very long way, now working with international artists in the metal music scene.

Embossed Wintersun W-Logo strap

Asim Searah // Damnation Plan, Trve Cvlt Clvb, ex-Wintersun (FIN)

How long have you had your strap?
I got my first strap on our Wintersun’s European THE FOREST TOUR IN September.
Rate your overall experience with your custom strap (1-5)
I would give 5 :) but there is always space for improvement as in may be a cushion can be added so that the strap won't bend when put aside for travelling.
Do you like the way the strap is adjustable?
Generally once I have adjusted the strap then I don't change it again but I would say that it's easily adjustable.
How does the colour hold, does it rub off?
The colour definitely holds just depends on how well one takes care of it :)
How do you like the way your design is painted (is it accurate, does the colour fit etc)? Certainly it's accurate and the colour fits with my guitar/guitars
Are you satisfied with how long it took from Order to Delivery?
It was super quick and the delivery was by the maker Laura at the venue on the show day :)
How good or bad do you think is the price-performance ratio?
I'm endorsed so I don't know :p but it would be fair and square.
How long did it take until the strap fit you perfectly (softness etc)?
I would say immediately.

Nihu's (Dawn of Time, AT) custom guitar strap

Nihu // Dawn of Time (AT)

I received my strap about a year ago, custom made with the leather and designs I wanted. I am very happy with the quality, it’s been on the guitar ever since I got it, secured with Schaller locks. The strap is very comfortable and does what a good strap should do: Hold my guitar in place without me having to worry that it will break and still be flexible and thin enough so it does not get in the way at all. And on top of that it also looks great. I would definitely get another one for a new guitar or if my other straps break!

Cheers,
Nihu, Dawn Of Time

Shockwave Logo Strap

Mark Malark // Shockwave (DE)

Hey!
The quality of the strap is amazing, it holds my beloved Jackson absolutely reliable. The Logo is bloody awesome, and the colour does not rub off a bit. We will totally need Straps for our other guitarist and base player.
This was an absolutely amazing birthday gift from my bandmates and friends, thanks a lot!

Cheers,
Mark Shockwave

FAQ

Since many of you have questions regarding the custom made guitarstraps, I thought I might as well write down what most of you want to know:

1. How do you make a strap?
- The strap consists of two parts: the broad Logo part that reaches from your guitar over the shoulder to the back, and a narrow strap to adjust the length. All the straps are hand -cut, -finished, -dyed, -painted and -sewn.

2. How do you “print” the Logo on Leather?
- Well, I don’t print, I paint everything by hand, with a really tiny brush!

3. How and how long does the colour hold?
- The colours I use are acrylic colours, especially made for painting on leather, coated with a protective acrylic finish, which also protects the colour from being rubbed off. To protect the colour make sure you don’t scratch it with sharp objects, like keys, knives or screwdrivers etc...

4. How long will the strap last?
If you follow the instructions given, the strap might live longer than any non-leather strap you have used before, since there are almost no sewn parts to break. Like all things in life - if handled with at least a bit of care, this strap will make you happy for a very long time.

5. What kind of secure locks can I use with the strap?
- since the only “option” I have is to punch holes in your strap, I can, at the moment, only provide straps for either no secure lock system, Schaller Secure Locks, LOXX by Schaeffertec, Harley Benton Security Locks etc. ...SHORT: every secure lock system that needs a hole to be fixed DIRECTLY to the strap.

6. What is the price for one of your straps?
- To be honest, that depends on:

* Colour of the Logo: I have many colours, but special colours like gold, silver, neon will have a small inpact on the price.
* Size of the Logo: I divided the Logos in 3 sizes (S, M and L) an S Logo being approx. 5x5 cm Icon Size, the M Logo about 5x20cm and L Logo being more than that
* “Difficulty” of the Logo: since I paint everything by hand, the difficulty also has an impact on the price, since it need far more time to work.
You can find a price list for Guitarstaps here.

7. Last but not least: do you offer other materials than leather?
No. And that has several (and also personal) reasons.
First and foremost: Leather lasts longest. I want my customers to own a product
that will accompany them for as long as possible, and does not break after a year or two.
Second: I do not have the space to stock up on alternatives, or the possibility to
work with the same materials as on leather.
